6 new things I’ve done since January
So, it’s been a minute since I blogged. It happens.
I wanted to revamp my website a bit, and felt inspired to jot down some of the things I’ve been up to while I’m here.
Got coronavirus
Yessir or madam, I got coronavirus. Thankfully, I was one of the lucky ones who just felt like I had a cold for two weeks. Dawson and I both had it while we were moving into our new apartment. Not the most fun ever, but we made it through, we‘re healthy, and we love our new place!
Got Barney neutered
Our dog Barney (who we’ve recently discovered is not a basset hound, but a bagel hound—a basset-beagle mix) got neutered a few weeks ago. I cried.
Started running (again)
I do this thing where I run really consistently for a month or so, and then take a long hiatus. Since one of my inspiration words for this year is dedication, I think it’s time I take a hiatus from taking hiatuses. I got some new running shoes and have gone for a run every day this week!
Started shopping at Aldi
This one also isn’t exactly new, but Arizona finally has Aldi stores and I’m so excited. So much money to be saved!
I’m feeling a little high-and-mighty, too, because Dawson had never been to an Aldi and he loves it. Win for me.
Climbed the Superstition Mountains
Dawson, Barney, and I trekked up the Superstitions a few weeks ago (pre-neutering). Seeing the mountains almost every day, I’ve been dying to hike to the top, and we finally did it! Super rewarding, super tiring.
“I would pay someone $100 to be back at the car right now.”
-A very tired Dawson on the way back down
6. Started creating video content for my clients
With the rise of TikTok and Instagram Reels, it was only a matter of time before short-form video content became a brand necessity. I’ve recently begun creating TikToks and Instagram Reels for BaeBlu and Activ Intimates, and I’ve been having so much fun with it! I’m excited to keep getting better.
