I’m officially freelancing full-time

A few weeks ago, I left my part-time office job at BaeBlu to pursue freelancing full-time.

It’s funny; I’m such an over-thinker that usually I take months and months to ponder a decision that big. This time around, I knew it was the right move after just a few weeks. I just felt it in my heart, and once I realized that, I knew I had to do it.

My biggest motivators were making my own schedule and being able to work from anywhere. My boyfriend and I want to do a lot of traveling, especially next year, and having the opportunity to work from the road would be a huge plus. (I also just got a Macbook Air for myself to help make travel-working a reality and I’m thrilled; I’ve always wanted one!)

This is my second full week of freelancing and I’m definitely still working out the kinks. I just signed up for a three-month social media management course to refine my skills and hopefully put some better organizational systems in place. I’m really looking forward to taking my business to the next level throughout the course and with just the few lessons I’ve done thus far, I know it was a good investment.

I have to say, too, that I’m so appreciative for all the support from my friends and family as I start this adventure. My boyfriend, Dawson, has been more than supportive through everything, and so has my new co-worker Barney the Basset. I have to say—cutest officemate ever.
