Places I want to visit

COVID-19 no-travel advisories have got me dreaming. I’ve been lucky enough to visit some amazing places so far, my favorite of which being Paris. I don’t care if that’s cliché; it’s perfect there.

Anyway, I’ve been thinking about the places I’d still like to go, and I thought I’d share my list:

Los Angeles, CA

I’m starting off with the one that’s most accessible to me. I live in Phoenix, so L.A. is only about five hours from me.

Being from the East Coast, I’ve never been there, but I’ve always wanted to go. I used to want to be an actress. Now, I’m interested in the fashion, the beach, and the good vibes.

San Francisco

Another one pretty close to home. San Francisco has this magical element for me; the rolling hills full of houses, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Painted Ladies. I love all the color and architectural layering the city appears to have.

On top of that, I would love to experience the culture in person. From what I’ve heard and read, SF’s community seems so fun and warm.

Bali

I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but they traveled to Bali on America’s Next Top Model back in the day, and I’ve wanted to go since that exact moment. The architecture and the scenery just blew me away.

Ireland

My dad’s side is Irish and hails from Cork. Centuries ago, one of my ancestors was rich in land. He even had small castle. It’s just ruins now, but I would love to see what’s left of Crowley Castle.

Plus, every movie ever that’s based in Ireland shows those amazing cliffs and forever-long winding roads that I’d love to see in person.

Poland

While my father’s family is from Ireland, my mother’s is from Poland. I would love to learn more about Polish culture and even my family history there.

Iceland

I’ve been to Iceland, but never left the airport, which, I might add, was a paradise of modern architecture.

We had a connecting flight there on our way to Paris, and while there, I heard that they have a program where you can stay on Iceland for something like 24 hours and then board another flight (to encourage Icelandic tourism). I would love to do that, or even stay longer.

The Northern Lights would be a dream, I’m sure, and the landscape looks breathtaking in every photo.

These sights may have to wait, but just know that they’re on my to-see list.
